On Thursday last, Michael Loftus, one of our most esteemed and worthy citizens died of La Grip. Mr. Loftus has lived in this township nearly thirty three years. He was an honest, inoffensive man, being endowed with true hospitality and socialability, he lived in peace and harmony with all, and his death is regretted by all who knew him.

His funeral took place on Saturday and was one of the largest in this locality for a long time. May he rest in peace.
