Karl Nelson Cumings, age 82 of Bella Vista, passed away July 27, 2016. Karl worked many years in the Steel Industry and in later years retired to Bella Vista. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.

KARL CUMINGS, Arkansas

Karl Cumings, 82, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Highlands Health Care in Bella Vista.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at the Zion Church at the Madison County Historical Complex in Winterset.

Karl N. Cumings was born May 27, 1934, in Winterset, the son of Lloyd and La Vere Cumings. Karl grew up in the Scott township, Peru and Winterset community in Madison County. He was a 1953 graduate of Winterset High School. He married Arleta Simpson; to this union three children were born.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one sister.

He is survived by his children, Bill of Estes Park, Colo., Bob of St. Peters, Mo., and Trudy (Larry) Skough of Farmington Hills, Ill.; three grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Robert Cumings of West Branch; and a sister, Pam (Ken) Madison of Winterset.
