MISS MABEL MORRIS DIES

Miss Mabel Morris died last Tuesday night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morris, following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Kale funeral home, conducted by Rev. W. J. Fowler of New Virginia, with burial in the Young cemetery.

Mabel Louise Morris, daughter of Leo A. and Rena Morris, was born in Madison county near Truro, Iowa, and died at her home in Washington township on May 29, 1951 at the age of 19 years, 9 months and 5 days.

Her entire life was spent near Osceola except five years in Howard county. Mabel had been an invalid all her life, having been injured at birth. She was a patient sufferer and loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her parents, Leo A. and Rena Morris, and sister, Mary Lou Morris of Des Moines; three brothers, David of Des Moines, Merrill of Corning, and Lester at home; a niece, Doris Morris, at home; and a host of other relatives and friends. One sister, Ede Iwed, preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1942.

Funeral services were held at the Kale funeral home in Truro, by Reverend Fowler, on June 1, 1951, at 2:00 o’clock. Burial in the Young cemetery at Truro.
