MRS. ELLEN KELLY DIED HERE FRIDAY

Mrs. Ellen Kelly, life-long resident of Lee township, died Friday, March 14, at Carter’s Nursing home in Winterset, where she had been receiving care recently. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Kelly was the widow of the late James Kelly, whose death occurred in 1949. They had spent their life-time as residents of the Irish community in Lee township and were members of St. Patrick’s church there.

Nearest surviving relatives are a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday from St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Winterset, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. J. J. Judge. Burial was made in St. Patrick’s cemetery.
