MARGARET GILL RITES HELD AT ST. PATRICK’S

Margaret Gill, for many years a resident of the St. Patrick’s community in Lee township, died at a Des Moines hospital last Wednesday morning, Dec. 24. She was 82 years of age.

She had been living recently at the Bishop Drumm home in Des Moines. Tuesday night of last week she left the home in her night clothes, fell on the sidewalk, and received a broken leg. She died a few hours later at the hospital.

Miss Gill’s nearest surviving relatives are nieces and nephews, including Maurice and James Lynch of Cumming. She was the last surviving member of a well known Lee township family. She was a member of St. Patrick’s church and the Altar society there.

Funeral services were held Saturday from St. Patrick’s church and burial was made in the cemetery there.
