The ashes of the remains of Mrs. Dimond, better known to people here as Mrs. W. E. Mack of Haywood, Calif., reached here early Sunday morning for burial. They were flown by plane to Denver, and then by train, reaching Peru at an early hour Sunday morning. Mrs. Dimond lived here many years with her husband, W. E. Mack and the family lived many years both in and around St. Charles, but her home had been in California for many years. She is survived by her children, one son, Otto Mack, now living in Mt. Ayr, and the others in California.
Burial was Monday afternoon in the St. Charles cemetery beside her first husband who preceded her in death some 43 years ago. Mrs. Dimond was 97 years of age.
