Alice, daughter of Frances and Samuel Fife, was born Aug. 31, 1861, in St. Charles, Madison county, Iowa. She died in the Clinic hospital in Kingfisher, Okla., January 27, 1948, at the age of 86 years, four months and 27 days.
She made a profession of faith in Christ early in womanhood, and at the time of her death was a member of the First Christian church of Kingfisher.
She was united in marriage with William Alvin Kale on Sept. 28, 1886. The family included Iver, Edith, Raymond, Ethel, William, Frank and Ena. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 16, 1944, and by her daughter Ena.
The family came to Oklahoma in 1900 and settled or a farm 16 miles southwest of Kingfisher, later moving to a farm near Hennessey, where they lived for a period of eight years. They then moved to a farm two miles northwest of Kingfisher. At the time of her death, Mrs. Kale resided at her home at 211 North Fifth street in Kingfisher.
Mrs. Kale is survived by her children, Mrs. Edith Bayless of Woodward, R. A. Kale of Denver, Colo., Mrs. W. D. Mills of Kingfisher, W. E. Kale of Kingfisher, F. M. Kale of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Bumbarger of Osceola, Iowa, and Mrs. Charles Thompson of Lorimor, Iowa; one brother, Homer
