OBITUARY

William Alvin Kale was born March 30, 1859 at Winterset, Madison County, Iowa, and died at his home in Kingfisher, December 16, 1944.

Mr. Kale was united in marriage to Mary Alice Fife September 28, 1886. Their family included, Iver, Edith, Ray, Estel, William, Frank and Ena.

Mr. Kale came to Oklahoma with his family in 1900 and purchased a farm 16 miles southwest of Kingfisher. They resided on that farm for a year and a half, he then sold that farm and bought another near Hennessey where they lived for a period of eight years. He then bought a farm two miles northwest of Kingfisher, which he continued to own until the time of his death. He retired from farming 25 years ago and moved to Kingfisher. He and Mrs. Kale were living in their home at 211 North 5th street at the time of his death.

Early in life he was converted to Christ and united with the Methodist church. In 1909 he united with the Christian Church of Hennessey. After coming to Kingfisher he transferred his membership to the First Christian church, where it remained until the time of his death.

He was a kind and considerate neighbor. Always ready to assist those that were in need. He was a loving and thoughtful husband and father; who always sought the best for his family. One daughter Ena preceded him in death July 5, 1918.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mrs. Alice Kale, two daughters, Mrs. Edith Bayless of Woodward, Okla., and Mrs. W. D. Mills of Kingfisher, Okla., and four sons Iver Kale, Ray Kale of Denver, Colo., W. E. Kale of Kingfisher, Okla., and F. M. Kale of Colorado Springs, Colo. One brother Frank Kale of Willis, Kansas and three sisters, Mrs. Maude Sinclair of Hiwatha, Kansas, Nettie Kale of Hiwatha, Kans., and Mrs. Eva Hampton of Willis, Kans. Two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves 14 grandchildren and 15 Great grand children, other relatives and many friends.
