William Henry Baker was born in Jefferson county, Wisconsin, August 20, 1847, and died at his residence eight miles north of Winterset April 29, 1910, aged 62 years, 8 months and 9 days. He came to Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa in the spring of 1872, where he resided until his death.
He leaves one son, four brothers and one sister. His wife and an infant son passed away some years before. He was well respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 at the U. B. church Saturday at North River, conducted by the pastor J. W. Stiverson.
