Page 4The funeral of Mr. Laevinius Madren, of West Branch, a former resident of this city, was held Saturday at the Conservative Friends church, and the remains interred in Earlham cemetery. Mr. Madren passed away at his home in West Branch on Thursday morning at the age of 56 yrs, 10 mo. and 5 days.
Much of his earlier life was spent in Earlham, where he was employed as a barber and in various clerical pursuits.
Six brothers and sisters of the deceased were present at the funeral here: Horace Madren of Lindon, John Madren of Redfield; Harold and Roy Madren of West Branch; Mrs. C.R. Nichols from Nebraska and Mrs. Chas. Perry of Anita. Present also was his bereaved wife and her sister, Mrs. R.S. Males and several other relatives.

A telegram to Mr. R. S. Males today brings the sad information of the death of Mr. Lavinus Madren at his home in West Branch, from blood poisoning. Mr. Madren is well known here as a former resident and minister of the Friends church. His remains will be brought here for burial the last of this week.

Lavinus Madren after several weeks of suffering from blood poison, died at his home this morning at 2 o'clock, after.
Services will be held tomorrow at 9 o'clock, after which the body will be shipped to Earlham, his old home, for burial.
The deceased leaves his wife, two sons and two daughters to mourn his departure.
