Funeral services were held for James H. Kennedy, 60, of 735 Nineteenth Street, Des Moines, Monday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at White, Baumgardner, Mack Chapel, with burial at Chapel Hill cemetery.
Rev. Cecil Latta and Elder Bylander were in charge of the services.
Mr. Kennedy died of uremic poisoning Friday at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was born at Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 22, 1899. He and his family lived in Earlham for many years until he moved to Des Moines 14 years ago.
He was a driver for Merchants Transfer & Storage Co., a member of Pioneer Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Gatchel Methodist church.
Survivors are his wife, Clara; three sons, Robert of San Diego, California, Dick of Whittier, California, and William of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Douglas of Lakewood, California, and Mrs. Barbara Mitchell of Ottumwa; three brothers, Fred, Ralph and Gilbert, all of Duluth, Minnesota; three sisters, Laura of Duluth, Minnesota, Florence of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. Margaret Thompson of Two Harbors, Minnesota and 11 grandchildren.
