Maxine Voss, 80 of Postville died of cancer Thursday at her daughter’s home there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stuart Friends Church in Stuart, with burial at South Oak Grove Cemetery there.

Mrs. Voss was born in Earlham and had lived in the Stuart, Redfield and Dexter areas most of her life before moving to Postville. She was a housewife.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis White of Postville; a son Larry “Pete” of Stuart; four sisters, Iola Waddell of Walnut, Mary Lou Mattox of South Beloit, Ill., Esther Begntel of Stuart, and Eva Phillips of Winterset; two brothers, Wayne Jones of Stuart and Cecil Jones of Casey; seven grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; a great-grandchild; seven foster great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Postville and from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cramer-Link Funeral Home in Stuart. Visitation will continue an hour prior to time of services Thursday at the church.
