Denise Rae Sanderson

Denise Rae Sanderson, daughter of Russell Roberts and Beverly Jo (Chew) Roberts was born September 21, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, April 11, 2016 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at 56 years of age.

Denise received her education at Interstate 35 Schools and graduated in 1978. She later attended Southwestern Community College and received her Registered Nursing Degree. She furthered her education with a Bachelor's Degree thru the University of Phoenix. She has lived most of her life in Clarke and Madison Counties, except for a short time in Florida.

She was united in marriage to Kirk Sanderson on September 19, 2009 at the family home in Osceola, Iowa.

Denise worked as a Clinical Instructor for Southwestern Community College as well as the Ringgold County Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, raising a garden and doing the canning. She also enjoyed antiques and nature and traveling when she was able. However, her most treasured times were the ones she spent with family and especially her grandkids.

Those relatives who preceded Denise in death were her son, Cecil Travis Gaddy; grandparents, Montelle and Mildred Chew; her father-in-law, Gary Sanderson and mother-in-law, Myrna Sanderson.

Denise leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Kirk Sanderson of Osceola, IA; parents, Russell and Beverly Roberts of Truro, IA; daughters, Teresa Luncsford of Osceola, IA, Alicia Gaddy of Osceola, IA; step-daughter, Amanda (Grant) Reimers of Story City, IA; grandchildren, Candice Luncsford, Eathan Luncsford, Logan Wilson, Alex Garrison, Robbie Garrison, William Seals; brother-in-law, Kory (Teresa) Sanderson of Lannigan, MO; sister-in-law, Kristi Sanderson of Osceola, IA; sister, Danielle (Steve) Navarro of Panora, IA; brother, Clifford (Vanessa) Roberts of Truro, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.

Denise was cremated and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.
