FORMER ST. CHARLES RESIDENT IS DEAD

Mrs. George Ripperger Died Aug. 4 at Indianola Hospital

Mrs. George Ripperger, a resident of St. Charles for many years, died Monday, Aug. 4 at the Indianola hospital at the age of 59 years.

Mrs. Ripperger was the former Malinda Benge, daughter of Alexander and Amelia Benge, and was born at Milo, March 4, 1888. She was married Sept. 12, 1912, to Frank Goode. They lived for many years in St. Charles, where Mr. Goode followed the barber trade. They were the parents of one son. The husband and father died in 1936.

Her marriage to Mr. Ripperger occurred in 1940.

Surviving are her husband; the son, Loren Goode of Long Beach, Calif.; one grandson, two brothers, Tom Benge of Ottumwa, and John Benge of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Nellie Walliner. She also leaves eight step children.

She was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church, and later the Christian Union church at Milo.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Ripperger residence near Rosemount, and that afternoon from the Christian Union church at Milo. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
