News Items of Interest from St. Charles

In the tornado that struck in Oklahoma last week, Albert Shutt was killed and his body was brought here for burial. He was a cousin to the Shutt and Black families of this community and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dave Shutt of this place. He was 70 years of age, and had never married and had lived in Oklahoma around 50 years. He is survived by four brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

St. Charles Burial For Tornado Victim

Funeral services for Albert Shutt, 70, killed last week in a tornado at Woodward, Okla., will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Methodist church in St. Charles, Ia. Burial will be at St. Charles.

Mr. Shutt was born in Madison county and moved away in 1900.

Surviving are four brothers, Elmer, Frank, George and Harry, all of Des Moines, and one sister, Mrs. Albert Crawford of Tulare, Cal.
