OBITUARY

Mr. Thomas Malone died at his home in Franklin township, Feb. 6, 1881, after an illness of about five years, three years of which he was confined constantly to his home. The deceased was 62 years of age and a native of Ireland. In 1867 he became a citizen of Madison county, Iowa, and in 1871, he located in Franklin township, Cass county.

He leaves a wife and ten children to mourn his loss, the youngest child being over eight years of age. He was a good citizen and died in the hope of a blessed immortality. He was a consistent member of the Catholic church.
