Lee Gripp had a stroke Monday night and was taken to a hospital in Osceola Tuesday morning. Mr. Gripp passed away early Friday morning.

Page 1FUNERAL RITES HELD AUG. 17 FOR LEE GRIPP
Funeral services for Lee Gripp, well known St. Charles resident, who died at the Osceola hospital Friday, Aug. 15, were held Sunday, Aug. 17, from the St. Charles Methodist church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Oren Hall. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
Mr. Gripp is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Stella Chilcoate, of Fresno, Calif.; and two sons, Kenneth of Des Moines and Harvey of St. Charles. One son, Alva Gripp, was killed in the first World War.
