WILLIAM TAYLOR OF TRURO SUCCUMBS LAST TUESDAY

Wm. Alexander Taylor was born at Abbington, Illinois, Nov 17, 1886 and departed this life at his home in Truro, September 28, 1937, at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 11 days.

When but six years of age with his parents he came to Iowa and settled near Truro, where he spent all but five years of his life. On October 20, 1899 he was united in marriage to Margaret Afflerbach and to this union two sons were born, Don P., of Herford, Colorado, Elmer Guy who passed away June 8, 1930 at Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 25 years.

Feeling the need of Devine guidance early in life he made his confession and united with the M. E. church at Truro. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias.

He leaves to mourn his loss, the faithful companion, one son Don, two stepsons Carl Afflerbach of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Gail Afflerbach of Herford, Colorado. Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Lyons of St. Mary's, and Mrs. Anna Shepard of the Holdrege, Nebraska, one brother, James Taylor of Truro and other relatives and a host of friends.
