Clark Mountain, 75, of Macksburg, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, March 13, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, with family present to receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 14, at Ochiltree Funeral Service. Burial will be in the Moon Cemetery, rural Macksburg. Memorials may be directed to Madison County Memorial Hospital or to Clark’s family and online condolences may be made to the family at ochiltree.com.

Marple Clark Mountain, Jr., son of Marple, Sr. and Fay (Stokes) Mountain, was born December 16, 1940 in Winterset, Iowa. He graduated from Lorimor High School in 1959 and was united in marriage to Nancy Hines on July 14, 1973 at the Lorimor United Methodist Church.

Clark was a finish carpenter most of his working career and owned and operated Mountain Construction for 50 years. He loved spending his time as an antique dealer and antique tool collector. He was a member of the Midwest and Southwest Tool Collectors. He enjoyed doing all sorts of woodworking projects, including building furniture and in his free time, he also enjoyed gardening and fishing. Above all else, Clark loved spending time with his family and friends.

Clark is survived by his wife, Nancy Mountain of Macksburg; his children, Kevin (Ann) Mountain of Winterset, Dawn (Ronnie) Henderson of Des Moines, and Mandi Mountain of Winterset; siblings, Eunice Haworth of Indianola, Tommi (Jim) Orr of Winterset, Richard (Remy Moret) of San Francisco, Ellen Mountain of Afton, and Christy (Jim) Hogue of Winterset; 5 grandchildren, Brandi Mountain, Leslie Mountain, Jessica Stark, Stephanie Henderson, and Shawn Henderson; 3 great-grandchildren, Roger Newby, Max and Emma Stark and special friends, Jessica and Lane Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
