Ira Witter, a well known resident of this community passed away at his home in Des Moines Thursday, Jan. 24. He was 71 years of age and at one time operated a cream station here, later moving to Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife Anna Carter Witter and two sons, Fred and Manson.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church Saturday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. King, and burial was in the Blair Chapel cemetery.
