Weirsdale – Gene Douglas Beeler, 85, of Weirsdale, FL passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 in Ocala, Fl. He was born in Winterset, Iowa and came to Weirsdale in 1949 from Winterset, Iowa. He was a purchasing agent for Golden Gem Growers of Umatilla for over 25 years. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, & Korean War, member of Weirsdale Presbyterian Church and the Winterset, Iowa Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; Marie Elizabeth, Weirsdale, FL, Son; Charles Douglas Beeler, Hayesville, NC, daughter; Beth Beeler, Weirsdale, FL, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Weirsdale Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers Memorial Fund at Weirsdale Presbyterian Church or Cornerstone Hospice, 12300 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
