J. J. Young and wife, Francis Musselman and daughter, Daisy, Addie Creger and daughter of Truro, attended the funeral of Mary Young held here on Monday.

Mary Adaline Young, daughter of T. J. and M. E. Young, was born near St. Charles, January 20, 1895, and died June 4, 1910, at their home in St. Charles, aged 15 years, four months and 15 days.

Mary was a good girl, faithful and kind and obedient in the home, and at school, she was a good student, taking an active interest in her work. She united with the church in 1906, and was very faithful in her attendance at Sabbath school and church services. She was only sick for about 8 weeks, and was not considered dangerously ill until a few days before her death.

She leaves a father, four sisters and one brother, her mother died about five years ago.

The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. A. E. George, in the M. E. church, Monday, June 6th at 10:00 a. m. Six of her girl friends were pall bearers: Nida Sayre, Ruth Ballard, Lois Steel, Hester Johnston, Belle Banta and Sarah Swain. The text was “Her sun is gone down while it was yet day”. Jeremiah 15-9.
