JERRY BANE, Urbandale, Ia

(1933 - 2016)

Jerry Bane lost his battle with cancer early February 6, 2016. Jerry was born on November 10, 1933 to Neal and Ellen (Adkins) Bane in Dallas County. Jerry married his high school sweetheart Wanda Davis in June of 1952. Jerry was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who also served others while in the U. S. Air Force, at Iowa DOT, and as the Bureau Chief of Iowa Weights and Measure. Jerry was also a member and the Commander of the Winterset VFW, a member of the Urbandale Masonic Lodge, and a member and the Master of the Winterset Masonic Lodge.

Visitation at 10:00 and memorial service at 11:00 will be held at Covenant Christian Church, 2700 72 St, Urbandale, Ia. On Wednesday February 10, 2016.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Neal Bane and Ellen Root, sister Barbara Bodwell, son Randy Bane, grandson Chance Bane, and 2 infant granddaughters Heather Bane and Christine Fulton.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Wanda (Davis) Bane, daughter Theresa & Micheal Fulton, son Ronald & Donna Bane, sister Mary Louise (Bane) DeVault, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
