Mrs. Emma Bowlsby, a native, of Madison county, died Saturday, Sept. 7, at a nursing home in Des Moines. She was 91 years of age, and had lived in Des Moines for the last 66 years.
Mrs. Bowlsby was born near Winterset, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mahlon Brown. Surviving are two sons, Everette Bowlsby of Des Moines and Merle Bowlsby of Milford, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. W. A. Hahn of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Frank Brown of Fullerton, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. H. C. Frederickson of Sauk Center, Minn., and Mrs. Walter Holmes of Hensler, N. Dak.; eight grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Highland Park funeral home with burial in Highland Memory gardens cemetery.
