Thursday, March 28, 1957Services Held For Mrs. Ella Fuller
Mrs. Ella Fuller departed this life Monday, March 25th, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lavinia Mapes of Redfield. She was 85 years, eight months, and six days old.
The services were held Wednesday, March 27th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Dexter Methodist church, Rev. Paul F. Textor in charge of the service. Music was by Mr. Robert Lawson and Mrs. K. M. Chapler.
Eleanor Barbara, daughter of Francis and Barbara Jones, was born on July 19, 1871 on a farm near Dexter in Madison county. She passed away Monday, March 25th at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lavinia Mapes of Redfield, at the age of 85 years, eight months and six days. She was one of eight children. She attended rural schools and the Dexter Normal College. She taught in rural schools for a number of years.
On March 30, 1898 she was married to Fred H. Fuller. Four children, Laurence, Rex, Helen, and Thelma were born to this union. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Clarence, and Andrew; one sister, Mrs. Mayme Hammer; her husband; a son, Laurence; and a grandson, Blair Hochstetler.
Those surviving to mourn her loss are: Eugene Jones of Hartford, South Dakota; Mrs. Paul Lenocker and Mrs. Lavinia Mapes of Redfield; Elmer Jones and Rex Fuller of Earlham; Mrs. Everett Baughman of Princeton, Minnesota; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Fuller was a member of the Dexter Methodist church. She was also active in the Woman’s Society while her health permitted. She was a resident of the Dexter community most of her life. She lived with her sister at Redfield the last two and a half years.
