Nicholas Schoenenberger Dead.

Nicholas Schoenenberger, of Walnut township, one of the oldest settlers of the county, died at his home on Clanton Creek, the old Schoenenberger homestead, Wednesday morning of last week. Mr. Schoenenberger came to Madison county years ago a poor man, and bought the farm on which he died. He made a fine farm of it and accumulated a good deal of property. He was well known in the southern part of the county and was universally respected for his upright character.

He was the father of John Schoenenberger, the well known stock breeder, and Anthony and Henry Schoenenberger, all well known citizens of the county, and of Mrs. George Boling, of Lorimor. Mr. Schoenenberger was eighty-four years old when he died, and his death was due to old age.
