Macksburg

Mrs. Emily Mendenhall Thomas died in the 76th year of her birth. Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of Jacob and Susannah Mendenhall and was born in 1828. Mrs. Thomas was one of the early settlers of Iowa having resided here since 1836.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Macksburg conducted by Rev. H. A. Cross and interment made in the Macksburg cemetery. The bereaved have the sympathy of the community.
