Marcelene “Marcie” Mae Zink, 86, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1 pm at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be on Friday, October 20, 2015 from 4–6 pm at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral service.
Marcie was born on July 25, 1929, to Creed and Vivien (Wilcox) Estel in Winterset, Ia. Marcie was united in marriage to Robert Zink on March 22, 1947 in Hiawatha, Ks. She was an active member at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert of Cedar Rapids, her children, Marcia (John) Newmeister of Tulsa, OK and Bob (Sheree) Zink of Livermore, CA; four grandchildren, Joy, Julie, Katie, and Rachel, and two great grandchildren Jackson and Lyla.
Marcie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids.
