The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Butcher, former citizens of Winterset, will be pained to learn that this estimable lady died at Webster City last week. Mr. Butcher certainly has the sympathy of his old friends.

We are informed that Mrs. J. M. Butcher, formerly of this city, later of Des Moines, and afterward of Ames, died a few days ago at the latter place. Mrs. Butcher will be most kindly remembered by her many friends in Winterset.
