EARL SEWARD OF PERU DIED DEC. 23

Earl J. Seward, a life-long resident of the Peru area, died Dec. 23 at Veteran’s hospital in Des Moines. He was 70 years of age.

Mr. Seward was born near Peru Nov. 5, 1892, a son of Jackson and Sadie Berry Seward. His life was spent farming in that community. He was a veteran of World War I.

He never married and nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Dudney of Winterset. He also leaves 13 nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Dec. 26 from the Watts Funeral home in Lorimor. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
