March 19, 1935 - September 24, 2015Irene Clancy, 80, of Winterset and formerly of Lorimor, Iowa, died, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset.
Irene has been cremated and no services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to the family and online condolences may be left at ochiltree.com.
Irene Mary Meyer was born March 19, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Piecheck) Meyer. Her marriage to James Clancy took place on April 23, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. She made Iowa her home since 1981 having moved here from California.
In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting and doing cross word puzzles.
Irene is survived by a son, Kelly Clancy of Lorimor, three step-children, Daniel Clancy and David Clancy both of Palm Springs, California and Deborah Milton of North Carolina; a sister, Barbara Edwards of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Sherron Garr of Podunk Center; Kathy (Doug) Proffitt of Lorimor and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died November 27, 1999 and a sister, Charlotte Meyer.
