September 29, 1920 – September 5, 2015Georgia Blanche (Taylor) Wheeler was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Madison County, to John and Allie Shaver Taylor and passed away on Sept. 5, 2015, at Sunny Ridge Care Center in Nampa, Idaho. She graduated from Patterson High School in 1937. She was married to Glenn Wheeler and had two children, Lee Wheeler (Janet) of Decatur Island, Anacartes, Wash., and Carolyn (Ralph) Elroy of Waukesha, Wisc.
Georgia taught school for many years in Iowa and then in 1958 the family moved to Idaho, where she also taught. She was an avid photographer, gardener and very active in the Methodist Church. She was very faithful to visit the sick and elderly at the care centers and in their homes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorraine (Lew) Wildin and Berniece (Vincent) Lawler; and her husband, Glenn.
She is survived by her children; grandchildren Robert Hood, Jennifer Strutzenberg, James Hood, David Wheeler; their spouses and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by special niece Nancy Horn, nephews Larry (Norma) Wildin and Robert (Marlyn) Wiedmann.
A memorial service was held at Sunny Ridge Care Center on Sept. 8, 2015. Cremains will be scattered later on the graves of her sisters at Montpelier Cemetery near Patterson, Iowa.
