Private funeral services were held at Mill Valley, Calif., for H. Wendall Reed, formerly of Truro and Winterset, whose death occurred Aug 2 in San Francisco. Mr. Reed was stricken with a fatal heart attack on his way home from work.
A native of Truro, Mr. Reed lived at Winterset from 1941 until 1955. He was engaged in the produce business here. He and his family moved to Mill Valley, Calif., in 1955.
He was serving as a property appraiser with the California State board of equalization.
Mr Reed was a ham radio operator, and an active member of the American Radio Relay league.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eulalia M. Reed of Mill Valley; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Mathre of San Rafael, Calif.; a son, David Reed of Issining, N. Y.; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Reed, Sr., of Truro.
Burial was made at Mt. Tamalpais cemetery in San Rafael, Calif.
