John David Burris, 78, of Truro passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 28th
Funeral services will be at Kale Funeral Home Osceola: Greeting of family and friends, Sunday 5-7 with a memorial service being held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31st.
John was united in marriage to Ramona Mary Miller on May 9th, 1957 in Rolfe, Iowa. Five children blessed this union.
John had a great sense of humor and was a great tease and story teller. Someone once said he had a "laughing face".
John is survived by his wife Mona, and daughters Jonna (Brian) Mitchell of New Virginia, Jacqueline Burris (Doug Wilmarth) of Thornton, Co. and son Shawn (Heidi) Burris of Osceola and son-in-law Skip Zey of Osage Beach, Mo. Grandchildren Jason (Alanah) Mitchell, Jill (Tom) Koch, Dustin and Andy Zey, Joni Burris, Great grandchildren Clover and Renn Mitchell, and Oliver Koch, Also brothers Virgil (Janice) Burris and Robert (Mary) Burris plus many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and LaVonne Burris, daughter Lisa Zey, son Andy Burris and Sister Karen Zeman.
