Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1943Henry M. Bullin, one of the pioneer residents of the Peru community, died Tuesday of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wetzel. Had he lived until Nov. 16, he would have been 93 years of age.
Mr. Bullin was born on Nov. 16, 1850, in Indiana. He came to Madison county at an early age, and most of the past 50 years of his life had been spent in Peru. He was the son of John and Polly Bullin.
He was married on Dec. 24, 1872, to Eliza A. Garst. She died in 1940. They were the parents of four sons and one daughter, all of whom survive. They are Jacob H. Bullin, George A. Bullin, Robert L. Bullin, John P. Bullin, and Mrs. Sarah J. Emerson. He also leaves 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Friday from the Peru Methodist church, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Francis B. Harris. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
