RETIRED FARMER TAKEN BY DEATH

John Marion Wroe, 74-year-old retired wheat farmer who had been a resident of the district for nearly half a century, died Tuesday morning at his home, 1706 Howard street.

Wroe had farmed in the Lowden district before his retirement.

He was born March 12, 1875 at Earlham, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Blanche Wroe of Walla Walla; one daughter, Bernice Shilliam of Spokane; a son, William M. Wroe of Walla Walla; a sister, Verda Kenworthy of Earlham, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Elaine Marie Shilliam and Gary Wroe Shilliam, both of Spokane.----(From Washington paper).
