JAN LYTTON, West Des Moines, Iowa

Jan Allen Lytton, son of Wayne F. Lytton and Hazel Josephine (Goodwin) Lytton was born July 4, 1946 in Atlantic, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, June 29, 2015 at the VA Central Iowa Health Care Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa at 68 years of age.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Ebenezer Cemetery near Peru, Iowa in Madison County.

Jan grew up in Atlantic, Iowa and graduated from Atlantic High School. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam War Jan worked in sales and had lived in West Des Moines for many years. He enjoyed playing pool and chess, watching movies, all kinds of repair work and working with his hands and he enjoyed playing with his cat Smoky. He was a loving father and grandfather.

Those relatives who preceded Jan in death were his parents, Wayne and Hazel, and his sister, Michelle Workman.

Jan leaves to cherish his memory; sons, Robert A. Ruby and Phil C. Lytton both of Des Moines, son Jerod W. (Laura) Lytton of Sioux City, granddaughters, Meara Ruth Lytton, Teagan Elizabeth Lytton, Eila Josephine Noel Lytton, and Alba Maxine Lytton, as well as other relatives and many friends.
