Page 30Faye Ann Harrison, 90, of Sioux City, Iowa, died Sunday, December 24, 2000, in Sioux City.
Services were held Thursday, December 28, 2000, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Pappadackis officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Harrison was born June 15, 1910, in Macksburg, Madison County, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Lura (Simpson) Welty.
She married Paul Ira Harrison on Nov. 16, 1926, in Dakota City. The couple made their home on a farm near Hornick, Iowa, where they farmed for nearly 60 years. Her husband died December 15, 1985. She moved to Sioux City a few years later.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and various crafts.
Survivors include three sisters, Mable Davis of Sioux City, Flossie McCoy of Mesa, Ariz., and Helen Shields of Kent, Wash.; a brother, Wayne Welty of Seattle; five grandchildren, Debra Carison, Marvin and Melvin Harrison Jr., Patricia Malfero and Judy Peters; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Melvin P. Harrison Sr.; three brothers, Edwin, Lyle and Marvin Welty; three sisters, Eva Lecocq, Freda Chilton and Maxine Church; and a great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Chad Carlson, Melvin Harrison III, Travis Harrison, John and Ryan Malfero and Mike Peters Jr.
