Mrs. Ann H. Lee died at one o'clock this morning after a lingering illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Bird, of this city. Mrs. Lee had just passed her ninety-third birthday. For the past forty years, she has been a resident of Barton County. Along in the seventies, she and her husband and children settled on a farm in Clarence township. Mr. Lee died more than thirty years ago, but mother stayed on all these years, a blessing to her family and friends, for she was a good Christian woman and beloved by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her death, of her immediate family, five children. They are Ham Lee of Long Beach, Cal., John Lee of Ness county, Mrs. Mary Caldwell, of North Platte, Neb., and Mrs. C.L. Gunn and Mrs. Daniel Bird of this city. Mrs. Caldwell will arrive tomorrow night and the funeral will probably be held on Friday, though no definite arrangements have been made. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved family and friends, though one can hardly regret that the weary body of one who fought the good fight for nearly a century, is finally at rest.
