COLFAX - Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Marie) Monroe, 88, a partner in the Monroe Table Co. at Colfax, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church in Colfax.
The Rev. Kurt Freund, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the Colfax Interfaith Center or the American Friends Service Committee ar 4211 Grand, Des Moines, will be accepted.
She died Tuesday evening at the Clear View Manor in Prairie City.
Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Barbara Monroe of Colfax; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, her husband, and a son James.
Mrs. Monroe was a 50-year member of the PEO.
The daughter of William and Phoebe Barnett Hill, she was born Sept. 30, 1891 at Earlham, was graduated from Earlham Academy and attended Highland Park College in Des Moines.
She was married June 14, 1911.
