Jane Holmes Hull was born April 25, 1831 in Tuscarawas county, Ohio. She move to Iowa in 1854. On June 17, 1855, she married James Hull. He died a few years ago leaving her with 4 children, all who survive her. Lloyd at home, Mrs. Gertrude Husted of Winterset, John and Newt Hull in Canada, 3 brothers and one sister survive. She died April 9, 1903 and is buried at the Hartman Cemetery

Obituary—Jane Holmes was born April 25, 1831, in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, and removed from Ohio to Iowa in 1854. She was married to James Hull June 17, 1855. He died a few years ago, leaving her the mother of four children, all of whom survive her—Lloyd, living at home; Mrs. Gertrude Husted, at Winterset, and John and Newt Hull living in Canada. Three brothers and three sisters also survive her. Mrs. Hull united with the Christian church at the age of 14 years and has been a faithful member of the same since. She died April 9, 1903, aged 71 years, 11 months and 14 days. She was interred at the Hartman cemetery April 10, the services being conducted by Rev. Boyd.
