Edith Ester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel S. & Hester J. Switzer, of St. Charles, was born July 24, 1889, and died April 13, 1893, aged 3 years 9 months and 11 days.

Little Edith, thus early transplanted from this blighting land where flowers quickly fade, leaves a vacant chair in the home circle. But while we bow in sorrow in this sad affliction, yet in submission to His will, we feel sure that little Edith is one of that number of whom our Savior said, "Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
