Page 5John Theodore, son of W. O. and Ida Creger of Truro, Iowa, was born Dec. 12, 1904, and died April 28, 1912, age 7 years, 4 months and 16 days. When about two years old, he was afflicted with spinal meningitis, from which he never completely recovered, although every thing that medical skill and loving care could do, had been done for him. But while weak in body, he seemed to be unusually strong in mind and intellect, always happy and interested in everything about him. He loved to attend Sunday school and was a little member of the “Sunbeam Class” often singing the songs he learned at Sunday school. Now, he is singing with the angels. His last sickness, which lasted only two days, began on Friday, and ended Sunday noon, was brief and severe.
Words cannot express how dear little John will be missed from the happy home, of which he was the center, where every thing was done that loved ones could do, and by the relatives and friends, for the little fellow was loved by all. But we know that he is gone where he will be free from pain to dwell in the home above.
The funeral which was largely attended, was from the M.E. church, Monday at 2:30 p.m., after which the little form was laid to rest in the Young cemetery.

This vicinity was saddened last Sunday by the death of little John Creger, aged 6 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Creger, after a brief illness of only two days. He was a very bright little boy, and will be greatly missed in the home and community where he lived, as he had endeared himself to the hearts of both old and young by his pleasant smile, friendly manner and sunny disposition.
