Fred M. Beeler, son of Fred and Nancy Beeler, was born February 26th, 1868, near Peru, Iowa, and passed away at his home at Indianola, Iowa, June 6th, 1927, at the age of 59 years, 3 months and 10 days.

He was united in marriage to Nora Deardorff, April 29th, 1899. To this union was born one daughter, Ruth.

In early manhood, he united with the M.E. church at Peru under the pastorate of Paul Gardner. He was made a Mason in Hazel Lodge No. 573, March 25th, 1917. The teachings of his church and Masonry are reflected in the patience with which he bore his last affliction. Stricken with paralysis in October, 1919, he bravely faced the future. He was an uncomplaining sufferer, and passed into the great unknown with the calm confidence of one returning home.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, daughter Ruth, three brothers, Othello of Peru, Charles and Will J. of Winterset and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Peru, Wednesday, June 7th, by Rev. Mack of Indianola. Interment was made in the Peru cemetery.
