Hiram A. Landers
Hiram A. Landers, who moved from Crawford township to Salem, Ore., about fifteen years ago, died on the 27th at his home in Centralia, Wash., where he was a successful merchant. His death followed an attack of heart trouble lasting but a few hours. Surviving members of his family are his wife and two children. The family moved to Centralia four years ago.

PROMINENT CENTRALIA MERCHANT SUCCUMBS TO HEART ATTACK EARLY TODAY IN HIS ROOM AT LANDERS HOTEL—FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS NOT YET MADE.
H. A. LANDERS, a prominent Centralia business man, died early this morning as the result of a heart attack. He was stricken in his room at the Landers Hotel about 7 o’clock last night, but death did not occur until 1:10 o’clock this morning. On the order of Deputy Prosecutor Edward Newell, a post mortem was held this morning by Drs. F. J. Bickford and William Scott and their decision was that death was caused by a broken heart valve.
Formerly Lived in Tacoma
Mr. Landers, who formerly lived in Tacoma, opened a 5-10-15 cent store in Centralia several years ago and was considered one of the city’s most substantial business men. He is survived by his wife and three children. The remains are being held at the Newell parlors pending funeral arrangements.

LANDERS – At his home in Centralia, Wash, Saturday, March 27, 1915, H. A. Landers. He is survived by a wife and two children, and a sister, Mrs. Clearwater, of this city.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the First Christian church, the Rev. F. T. Porter officiating. Interment took place at Fair View cemetery.

The funeral services of the late H. A. Landers, a prominent I. O. O. F. lodge man. who died Friday in Tacoma, Wash., were held yesterday at 2 p. m. from the First Christian church, Rev. F. T. Porter officiating, "Lead Kindly Light," and "Nearer My God, to Thee," were sung by a quartet composed of Mrs. F. T. Porter, Mrs. Charles Knowland, Mr. Kerby and Steven Wolfe.
Mr. Landers was a brother of Mrs. A. L. Clearwater of this city.
Interment was in the family, plot at the Odd Fellows' cemetery, Chemeketa lodge. I. O. O. F., had charge of the services at the grave. The pallbearers were. C. E. Albin, Fred Swanson, C. C. Simeral, J. Dunlap, John Cornforth, J. A. Mills.
