Mrs. Edna Gabbert Boot of Newton died at a hospital there Thursday, October 10, following a stroke. Mrs. Boot lived in the Fairview neighborhood with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Gabbert before her marriage. She was 54 years old.

Funeral services were held Saturday. Burial in Fairview cemetery.
