J. W. Crawford died at his home near Perry, Oklahoma, on July 20. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Crawford, the son of Lewis and Elizabeth Wever Crawford, spent his early life in Madison county but moved to Oklahoma about 36 years ago. He was married to Mary Tracy. He leaves to mourn his passing two sons, R. H. Crawford of Nevada, Missouri; a number of grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Terry of Winterset and Mrs. Caroline Rippey of Audubon; a brother D. V. Crawford of Earlham and a large number of other relatives and friends.

A son Roy preceded him in death a few years ago.
