Sarah Frances King, daughter of John and Elizabeth King, was born April 19, 1861 in Dallas County, Iowa and passed away at her home in Earlham, Iowa, Nov. 25, 1927. She was married to Franklin Overton February 16, 1879. To this union was given Mrs. Myrtle Cunningham of Redfield, Iowa; Orval Overton, Enid, Okla.; Loy Overton, Broad--, Mont.; Mrs. Don Van Cleave, Adel. Three daughters have preceded her in death, Mrs. Lee Anglo, Miss Minnie Overton and Mrs. Sylvia Kuhl.

On November 16, 1920 she was married to Mr. W. I Steinbaugh, after which they came to Earlham to make their home. For some time Mrs. Steinbaugh has not been well yet most of the time was about the house. She was a devoted Christian character with her approaching blindness to check to her unfailing fine spirit. She never complained and was very happy in her home. She was of very modest type, a great lover of flowers and of home. Besides her husband and children she leaves sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Grose, Goodland, Cal.; Mrs. Lydia Van Cleave, Adel, Iowa; Mrs. Phoebe Ellis, Winterset, Iowa; Mrs. Martha Hougham, California; two brothers George King of Earlham and Chas. W. King, California and many friends.

Relative here from a distance to attend the funeral of Mrs. W.L. Steinbaugh Saturday were her son, Loy Overton of Broadue, Mont., and two daughters of Mr. Steinbaugh, Mrs. W.C. Durkee, of Muscatine and Mrs. Floyd Carver, of Chicago. Loy returens Monday to his home in the far interior of Montana.
