Mrs. J. H. Rees passed away at her home southeast of Waukee Tuesday after an illness extending over many years. A paralytic stroke hastened the collapse of her health, last December she was forced to yield to a life of inactivity after suffering invalidism for many years. The Rees family lived in Earlham many years and their friends still cherish the memory of the good woman who now is called to a higher sphere of usefulness unhampered by the frailty of the flesh. Funeral services were held at the late home this afternoon in the presence of a very large gathering of relatives and friends whom unfavorable roads were unable to restrain from paying this last tribute. Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery.
