Peru Items

Graveside services were held, at the Peru cemetery Tuesday for Newt Weaver of West Des Moines. He died of a heart attack Friday, while on a bus, returning home from a business trip to a bank. He had been ill with heart trouble for several years.

Mr. Weaver was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Weaver and grew up in this community, moving to West Des Moines a good many years ago. He is survived by his wife, several children and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Seifred and Mrs. Jane Gifford, of Peru and Mrs. Mel Dragoo of Red Oak.
